WHO IS KARELIM LOPEZ?
Karelim López, the businesswoman who visited Pedro Castillo and former Secretary of the Government Palace, Bruno Pacheco, at the house of Breña, had very close ties with the Fujimorists, and the governments of Alan García and Martín Vizcarra, according to an investigation by IDL-reporters. The woman is close to a consortium linked to her to win a millionaire tender in Provías.
In 2004, she was denounced by a married couple of spouses of having cheated them with a false document with a commitment to get them a job in the Congress of the Republic. In addition, Jonny Milla, his current spouse, had worked in parliamentary security in the 1990s during the government of Alberto Fujimori.
Since 2011, Karelim López has recorded 39 visits to public officials, between ministers, advisers and senior authorities from different governments, up to the current President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo. The woman appeared as a representative of the Municipality of Comas when the mayor was Nicolás Kusunoki, of the company Aldesa Construcciones and as a private visitor, details an investigation by the newspaper La República.
The businesswoman had ties with Juan Jiménez and César Villanueva, presidents of the Council of Ministers in the Government of Ollanta Humala, according to the entity's registry.
The media said that Karelim López came to Pedro Castillo by Bruno Pacheco, the former presidential secretary, whom he had known since his youth.
The Prosecutor's Office has begun an investigation into its recent visits to the Government Palace and the house of Breña, and would therefore be considering using effective collaboration.
