
As part of the Peruvian Children's Day, which is commemorated this second Sunday in April, l National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec) published on its social networks a list with the names of Peruvian girls and boys related to characters from cartoons, films and favorite series by the youngest members of the house. Among them, there are names such as Vegeta (from Dragon Ball Z), Snow White, Barbie and Sonic.
This is the list of names of Peruvian girls and boys taken from characters from children's fiction:
- Ariel: the name of the character of the Little Mermaid is worn by 5199 people.
- Candy: the name of the main character of the animated series of the same name is worn by 855 people.
- Alvin: the name of the character from the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks is worn by 313 people.
- Moana: the name of the character from the movie Moana: A Sea of Adventures is carried by 222 people.
- Otto: The character's name from several animated series such as The Simpsons and Rocket Power is worn by 199 people.
- Zendaya: the name of the Marvel actress is worn by 165 people.
- Aladdin: the name of the main character of the animated series of the same name is worn by 162 people.
- Destiny: the name of the video game character is worn by 53 people.
- Mary Jane: the name of the character of Spider-Man is worn by 49 people.
- Snow White: the name of the character from the classic film of the same name is carried by 43 people.

On the other hand, the Presidency of the Republic published a message on the occasion of Peruvian Children's Day, which is commemorated this Sunday. Through his Twitter account, he stressed that, with the face-to-face return to school classes, which took place this year, the integral development of Peruvian children is strengthened.
“The defense and promotion of their rights will make it possible to achieve the well-being of children and to grow up in a truly egalitarian and just society,” they said.
It should be recalled that, according to Law No. 27666, passed in 2002, the Day of the Peruvian Child is celebrated every second Sunday in April.
