Häcken defeated The New Saints 2-0 in the return leg of their UEFA Champions League 1st qualifying round tie at Park Hall Stadium on Tuesday - the victory clinching a place in the 2nd Qualifying Round for the visitors (5-1 aggregate).
Per-Mathias Høgmo's side found the net courtesy of Ibrahim Sadiq and Momodou Sonko to set up victory.
Sadiq broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 19th minute. Häcken doubled their lead in stoppage time through Sonko, Tomas Totland with the assist.

Häcken advance to the 2nd Qualifying Round on aggregate (5-1), while The New Saints will be transferred to the Conference League 2nd Qualifying Round.
IN THE GOALS:
Sadiq and Sonko rank joint first early in the 2023/2024 Champions League season with zero goal. The shut-out for Peter Abrahamsson was his zeroth clean sheet in zero appearances in the competition this campaign, the most among Champions League keepers.
