
The Mexican National Team is about to hold its first friendly match in the United States in which it will face its counterpart from Guatemala. However, Gerardo Tata Martino will not be able to make the trip with the team and will continue the duel from a distance. Jorge Theiler will assume the position of technical director in the absence of Tata.
Through an official statement, the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) confirmed the loss of the Argentine coach. He specified it:
“The General Sports Directorate of the FMF reports that Gerardo Martino, Technical Director of the Mexican National Team, will not be able to make the trip to Orlando, where the National Team will face in a preparation match against its Guatemalan counterpart, next Wednesday, April 27.”
