The sanction against José Israel Torres Gutiérrez, consisting of a 10-year disqualification from working in the public service, as well as the obligation to pay a fine of 370 million pesos for the irregularities he incurred in the former Ministry of Social Development (Sedesol), remained firm.
After a review of the list of officials sanctioned for their relationship to the so-called “master scam” operation, it was confirmed that the sanction imposed on Torres Gutiérrez is maintained despite the challenges he filed before various instances until reaching the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN).
The Ministry of Public Service (SFP) reported that the financial sanction of more than 370 million pesos imposed on this former public servant by the agency's Internal Control Body (ICO), which is now called the Welfare Secretariat, was firm.
