
On the occasion of the preparation of the Colombian Women's Senior National Team for its participation in the Copa América Femenina that will be played in our country from July 8 to 30, the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) announced that the national team will play two friendly matches against its United States counterpart.
In a statement, the FCF confirmed that the team led by Nelson Abadía will face the US team on June 25 and 28 in the cities of Colorado and Utah, respectively.
According to the Federation, these friendlies, in addition to serving as preparation for the Copa America, will also be played on the initiative of the Ministry of Sport, the Foreign Ministry and the FCF, as part of the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Colombia and the United States.

According to the Colombian Football Federation, these are the next matches of the Colombian women's national team:
United States vs. Colombia
Date: June 25, 2022.
City: Colorado.
Estadio: Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
Hora: 6:30 p.m. (Hora Colombia) 7:30 p.m. (ET).
United States vs. Colombia
Date: June 28, 2022.
City: Utah.
Estadio: Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy.
Hora: 9:00 p.m. (Hora Colombia) 10:00 p.m. (ET).
The results of the Colombia Women's National Team against the US team are expected to be completely positive, after their most recent friendlies against Venezuela ended in ties 2-2 and 0-0.

It should be remembered that the Copa América Femenina will be played in Colombia and, the first match that the women's national team will play will be on July 8, when the sports match will open, against the Paraguayan National Team at 7:00pm at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium, located in Cali.
On April 7, Conmebol announced from its headquarters in the city of Asunción, Paraguay, how was the draw of groups that will face in the 2022 Copa América Femenina from July 8 to July 30 in Colombian territory.
Colombia was seeded in Group A, as the host country, followed by Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay and Bolivia, being the four countries that complete the group.
On the other hand, Group B will lead the Brazilian national team, followed by teams from Peru, Venezuela, Argentina and Uruguay.
“The championship delivers 3 tickets directly to the Australia/New Zealand 2023 World Cup and they will be the three teams that occupy the first, second and third place in the Final Phase of the competition,” Conmebol said, adding that the teams that finish in fourth and fifth positions in the Final Phase will go to the playoff in search of two places at the 2023 Women's World Cup.
Conmebol also recalled that, the football team that occupies the first place in the Final Phase of the Women's Copa America, will automatically qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
