For his part, Ricardo Monreal, Morena's coordinator in the Senate, expressed his disagreement with the campaign in an interview, warning that it is not appropriate to deepen hatred or anger by labeling the opposition as “traitors”.
He pointed out that in a Parliament there are differences and they do not have to all vote in the same direction, so he asked the leadership to act with serenity and prudence since other parties are needed to pass constitutional reforms.
“They don't leave me much way out, because they tell me themselves. But how do you ask me to do that if I only receive this kind of offense? , that is, it is a fundamental issue, which is what is causing me difficulties in the construction of qualified majorities,” he added.
