Members of the Peruvian futsal team of people with Down syndrome demonstrated after the ridicule by Ricardo Mendoza and Jorge Luna in their program 'Talking Huevadas'. The faces of the footballers of the 'bicolor' denoted sadness over the bad comments and sent a message of equality.
“I felt bad that there was that comment to all my colleagues. It should not be mocked, we are all equal and we are all Peru. I really felt bad yesterday. I didn't like him telling me that about down syndrome,” confessed Edgar Gómez, player of the 'white-red', in conversation with Willax Deportes.
“I think there are limits to everything and sometimes some people want to take it easy. This is a source of pride and people who have visibility that reach many young people should not make fun because many of them are in schools, which are in search of inclusion,” added a family member of a footballer.
“There should be a sanction because they cannot be the victims of ridicule because even if they think it doesn't hurt them, it hurts them. They listen and watch Youtube. My son tells me 'Mom why are they mocking, '” said the mother of a member of the 'everyone's team'.
WHAT DID MENDOZA AND LUNA SAY?
Jorge Luna refers to the 2022 Futsal Down World Cup, which he developed at the Videna facilities. That's when Ricardo intervenes: “What has come to me the most is that they didn't understand the joke, it came late” . These words generated greater laughter. However, both drivers stressed that they said it without any bad intention, stating that it was the interpretation of the public.
