Carolyn Adams, AMLO's daughter-in-law, responded to Denise Dresser after new accusations: “What are they going to invent?”

Carolyn Adams, wife of José Ramón Lopez Beltrán, replied to Denise Dresser: “What are you going to invent now?” , after the journalist denounced the unofficial use of a National Guard plane for trips to Houston, Texas, where Andrés Manuel López Obrador's eldest son resides with his family.

Adams shared his response via Instagram stories hours after Dresser posted on his Twitter account the message: “Houston, we have another problem. A National Guard plane has been flying to Houston, where Jose Ramón Lopez Beltran, son of the president, lives. There is no official record of these flights. The use of public goods for private purposes is corruption.”

The tweet is accompanied by an article published on the Eme Equis portal detailing that the XC-PFT aircraft has made several unregistered transfers to Houston. According to information they obtained from the Flight Radar 24 portal, the National Guard aircraft made two trips to the United States between April 10 and 13.

One of the flights departed from San Antonio and arrived in Saltillo, while the second one left Saltillo and arrived in Houston. These transfers with no apparent official record were the cause of speculation that would suggest that José Ramón López Beltrán used a government resource to move to where he currently resides.

Through several subsequent tweets, the journalist also shared the league to access the flight log of the plane belonging to the Government of Mexico and photos of it. In addition to the fact that he retweeted several messages where Twitter users deny the statements that the National Guard has made regarding the case.

The official body assured on social networks that: “The note that a National Guard plane traveled to Texas, USA is false. The log on which the text is based refers to a different aircraft, a private jet, the official aircraft did not travel abroad.” In an information card he detailed that the airplane he owned only made trips from Mexico City to Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas on the dates indicated.

It is worth mentioning that the eldest son of the president of Mexico was involved in the controversy after the publication of a journalistic investigation by the organization Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI). The report revealed that López Beltrán and his partner, Carolyn Adams, lived during 2019 in a building belonging to an executive of a company hired by Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX).

MCCI also revealed that the couple later moved to a new residence that is in Adams's name and is located in Harris County. In response to criticism of his son's luxurious lifestyle, Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that the property was not purchased with public resources but with money from Carolyn Adams, who after the scandal revealed having worked in the energy sector in the United Arab Emirates and Nuevo Leon, within the company Cava Energy.

Regarding the alleged conflict of interest, PEMEX revealed that Baker Hughes was not favored in the tenders because López Beltrán resided in a house in the name of one of its executives, Keith L. Schilling. For his part, Schilling stated that he did not know that AMLO's son resided in one of the properties in his name.
