After the arrival of supporters of the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the establishment of members of the National Labradorist Front in San Lázaro, deputies have decided to spend the night in the House to vote on the controversial Electric Reform.
This measure was taken by legislators because of the warning of the director of the Frente, Armando Monter, who stated that, if necessary, they would block the access of deputies who are against the Reformation since, according to him, they are in favor of the interests of foreign companies.
As a precautionary measure, deputies from the Institutional Revolution Party (PRI) arrived by truck to the legislative premises as a strategy to avoid any blockage on the camera by Morena's supporters.
And the deputies belonging to the bench of the National Action Party (PAN) also made theirs, who, unlike those in the tricolor, were arriving separately.
The legislators of the blue and white party shared through their social networks the arrival in San Lazaro and the makeshift beds in which they will spend the night to ensure that the vote takes place.
Among them is the deputy and vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies, Santiago Creel Miranda, who has positioned himself as one of the main opponents of the Reform promoted by the president.
Creel shared a short video of him in which he is in front of his office and in which he said “be ready for tomorrow's session, a session that will be historic: we are going to discuss the Energy Reform proposed by President López Obrador” and assured that they will vote against “defending the ideas of many people.”
Later he uploaded images in which he meets his team “who also spend the night here in San Lázaro today and those who will get up early in a few hours to integrate here and give together the defense for Mexico”.
In the same way, Congresswoman Margarita Zavala did the same. She reported through her official Twitter account that she had arrived after midnight and shared images of her in the legislative precinct as well as one where you can see her mattress.
PAN player Mariana Gómez del Campo also shared several videos in which she recorded herself addressing the Chamber of Deputies, as well as photos inside her office.
So did Ignacio Loyola, Felipe Fernando Macías or María Elena Pérez-Jaen Zermeño, who said he would spend the night in his office “next to the Chamber of Deputies”, among others who settled inside the compound.
Finally, they uploaded a video in which the blue and white legislators met outside the compound. With candles in their hands, they shouted “We are awake to take care of Mexico! ”.
For his part, the national leader of the PAN, Marko Cortés, congratulated the deputies for their assistance and for defending Mexico from the “pollutant #LeyBartlett”.
“I congratulate the @diputadospan who are already in the Chamber of Deputies ready to defend Mexico and put a stop to the regressive and polluting #LeyBartlett. We are #ResistenciaDemocrática!” , wrote Cortes.
