As happened on April 11, the deputies of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) arrived at the San Lázaro legislature one day before the vote was held on the controversial Electric Reform, promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
This was announced this Saturday afternoon by Alejandro Moreno, national leader of the PRI, through his Twitter account.
“Well, again, grabbing the truck. Let's go to the Chamber of Deputies stand guard, not leave us and we are against (the reform),” deputy Cynthia López Castro said minutes before getting on transport in a video.
The PRI's want to prevent the supporters of the so-called “Fourth Transformation (4Q)” who have been standing outside the Chamber of Deputies since Friday from preventing them from entering the vote, so they came to spend the night with their suitcases, an act that is known in political slang as “the sleepover”.
Armando Monter, leader of the National Labour Front, told the media that if necessary, opposition legislators (PRI, PAN, PRD and MC) will be prevented from entering this Sunday, who are expected to vote against the reform, which they consider something very serious “because they are representing the interests of companies foreigners”.
