The inhabitants of the municipality of Mosquera, Nariño, tried to burn alive infants of the National Navy and members of the National Army on the night of Thursday, April 14, after the uniformed men carried out an operation in which they seized 350 kilos of cocaine.
As reported by the troops of the Hercules Joint Task Force, after the armed forces located and destroyed the cache of coca-based paste, belonging to the residual GAO called the Alfonso Cano Western Bloc, a roast of the community sprayed them with gasoline under the threat of setting fire to them if they were not were withdrawing from the area, that's how Caracol Radio knew him.
Although the uniformed men managed to leave the municipality of Nariño unharmed, the Diario del Norte learned that, during the events, the community took away a laptop computer, three memories, a 9-millimeter firearm and 13 cartridges.

The command informed the local newspaper that, for these events, they will file criminal complaints and corresponding legal actions. For its part, the Attorney General's Office informed Caracol Radio that it will investigate the case, particularly because of the shooting that would have been recorded on the recording.
Regarding the cache seized in that municipality of Nariño, the commander of the No. 4 Marine Infantry Brigade, Colonel Jaime Zambrano, indicated that the 350 kilos of cocaine base paste would be “valued at more than 800 million pesos”, so it was intended to be marketed in the illegal markets of Central America and the United States.
On the other hand, the Navy reported that, on the same day, in river search and control operations in conjunction with the National Army, they seized more than 14,000 gallons of fuel and seven tons of cement from two tributaries in the Caribbean.

The fuel was seized in the municipalities of Gamarra (Cesar), Nechí (Antioquia), Magangué and Morales (Bolívar), where, according to the National Navy, 11,709 gallons of ACPM and 3,081 gallons of gasoline were seized.
On the other hand, on the Magdalena River, near the municipality of Morales, Bolívar, the naval forces seized 3,500 kilograms of gray cement, while on the same tributary, but in an area adjacent to the municipality of Gamarra (Cesar), they seized 4,000 kilograms of the same material.
“During the inspections carried out on the shippers-type vessels, their crew members did not submit the Certificate of Non-Reporting for Drug Trafficking, so the material was confiscated and made available to the competent authorities in these municipalities,” said the National Navy, stating that, in the middle of operational, no captures were made.
After the two operations, the naval force assured that it will continue to carry out river control and inspection tasks throughout Colombia, in order to prevent national tributaries from being used as drug trafficking routes and, likewise, to ensure “the tranquility and safety of the inhabitants of the region.”
