These days the controversies and statements surrounding the candidates for the presidency of Colombia are numerous, questions come and go from one place to the other. One of those is the one involving Federico 'Fico' Gutiérrez after a complaint made by the mayor of Cali, Jorge Iván Ospina.
Recently, the local president reported that after the inspection of electoral billboards, it was possible to establish that the candidate for the Presidency by the Team for Colombia exceeds the number of these elements allowed in the city.
This Friday, April 15, the local president reiterated his denunciation in dialogue with Caracol Radio, where he indicated that there are 26 hurdles installed by Fico Gutierrez's campaign in Cali, a much higher number than allowed by the electoral authorities.
Regarding other candidates aspiring for the Presidency of the Republic, he assured that Gustavo Petro has six billboards, while Sergio Fajardo has eight.
In the interview, the mayor of Cali assured that the installation of political advertising is governed by rules that must be fully complied with and without exceptions. Therefore, the administration of Ospina will proceed to report the photos, billboards and companies that installed the material to take the necessary measures of the case.
Response of Fico Gutiérrez to the complaint of the mayor of Cali
After the publication made on Twitter by the president of the Caleños, Fico Gutiérrez went out pointing to the mayor of allegedly doing politics in favor of Gustavo Petro.
Likewise, the candidate for the Presidency for the Colombian Team questioned the mayor about whether he had also verified the hurdles of Gustavo Petro, a doubt that was resolved this Friday when Ospina assured in dialogue with Caracol Radio that the candidate of the Historical Pact has only six of these advertising elements in Cali.
“You see how rare Mr. Ospina is doing politics in favor of his candidate Petro. That is false. Did you tell them to him, too? Our campaign has delivered and will continue to deliver. I should be taking care of Cali that you have a mess. In my presidency we will recover it”, was the trill of Fico Gutiérrez.
