Six days after the disappearance of Debanhi Susana Escobar Bazaldúa, an 18-year-old who was last seen on April 9 in the municipality of Escobedo, Nuevo León, her parents continue to walk paths and gaps to find their only daughter, whom she claims is still alive.
And it is that after going with two friends to a Quinta in the municipality of Escobedo last Friday, April 8, located near the State PGR, and left by a “contact of confidence” on the road to Laredo, at the height of Colonia Nueva Castilla, around 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, his search has intensified.
For this reason, in recent days Mario Escobar and Dolores Bazaldúa, parents of the law student, have found support from neighbors, tenants and hundreds of people who through social networks have joined the search jobs.
In a media interview on April 13, Debanhi's mother stated that they will not reduce efforts to find the 18-year-old, because she trusts that she is alive and will soon receive good news.
He also thanked the people who have joined the search and those who share his daughter's profile on social networks; as well as the federal government for deploying police officers.
While preparing to travel an area east of the road to Nuevo Laredo, observing nothing but isolated wineries and a thick mountain of bushes, Dolores Bazaldúa said: “I need to find my daughter because I don't want to go back to my house and find that void (which she left).” “She's the only daughter we have. We adore her little doll, come back,” he added.
Likewise, in an interview for ForoTV, the young woman's parents recounted the desperation they suffer when they found no indication of their daughter.
“It's been five days and there's nothing, other days and there's nothing. We have searched all these areas, because they detected this place; but there is nothing, so right now we are trying to search that well that they tell us and there is nothing, there are no results”, regretted Bazaldúa.
While Mario Escobar, Debanhi's father, indicated that the Nuevo León Attorney General's Office is conducting an “intensive” search nationwide. “The prosecutor of Tamaulipas already spoke to me,” he said.
He reported that since last Tuesday the search began at eight in the morning and kept until 12 at night, taking into account information that people provide them. “Sometimes true, sometimes false, but even if they are lies, we go,” he said.
