It is only a few days until Easter Sunday approaches, the day when, paradoxically, the 16th edition of the Alternative Theatre Festival comes to an end, and, unlike many activities that rest on Good Friday, the tables will not stop. For this reason, the program for next April 15 will be rich and will cover different topics.
From nine o'clock in the morning, the Centre for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation opens its doors for a meeting of theater and memory based on a polyphonic act that aims to recount and rewind some of the facts pertaining to the armed conflict that resist being forgotten and impunity.
The panel is led by renowned figures of social activism, such as Luz Marina Bernal, member of the MAFAPO association (Mothers of False Positives of Soacha); María Eugenia Ramírez, activist of 'Women for Peace-; Carlos Satizabal, poet and director of the Master's Degree in Creative Writing at the National University, and Patricia Ariza, director of the Festa.
On the other hand, the polyphonies will be composed of the works 'Song for Memory', by Roxana Pineda (Cuba), as well as some fragments of the works 'Salida al Sol' and 'Antigonas Women's Court' and 'Homage to the Disappeared', by the Medellin group 'Bad Companies'.
Under the moderation of Adriana Mejía, this meeting will take place until noon. Now, if for some reason you are unable to attend Centro Memoria, the Festa offers another 11 theatrical exhibitions that will be held in different stages of the city.

The virtual works 'In the eye of the water' and 'Paz I will do La', will be presented all day. The first title portrays conflict resolution (or lack thereof), as well as the patriarchal perspective seen as one of the major causes of the world's social crises. The second, on the other hand, is a space where real women are shown, far from the beauty prototype implemented by major brands and catwalks to show their clothes.
In 'Paz Haré La', tall, short, fat, thin women, students, black and white women, teachers and social leaders have a message to show before the consumer society, thus forming a space for “real women”, as stated by the director of the Festival.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., four plays will be presented: 'Theatre and Region' at the Cinematheque Distrital (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.); 'Persistencia', at the Center for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation (12 m. to 1:00 m.); 'At the ray', by the Aleph Teatro Foundation, in Pasto, and which will be presented at the Casa Teatrova theater (5 p.m. at 6:00pm), and 'Peace longed', also at the Center for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation (5 pm to 6 pm) and with admission until full capacity is reached.
From 6 pm to 8:30pm five theatrical exhibitions will be exhibited: 'Bernardas' in the Sala Seki Sano -Calle 12 # 2 65, Bogotá- (6 pm - 7 pm); 'Hecuba or the reason of madness', in La quinta porra (Calle 12 # 2 - 78- from 6 pm to 7 pm); 'Clitemnestra' in Tecna Al -Calle 12 B # 2-70- from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.; 'The doll nocturna', in the Gaitan Room of the Jorge Eliécer Gaitan Theater, from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and 'Auto da fe', in Casa tea, on Calle 19 # 4-71, Local 405′, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.
Regarding the costs of tickets, they can be consulted on the website of the Colombian Theater Corporation. They range from 15,000 to 40,000 pesos.
