The Archbishopric of Lima ordered that, in the 125 Catholic temples that exist in Metropolitan Lima, a capacity of 80% should be allowed during religious ceremonies that will be held by Easter, in order to avoid crowds and reduce the risk of contagion of COVID-19.
In addition, Juan José Dioses, director of communications for the Archbishopric of Lima, specified that the vaccination card will be required with the three doses in order to enter the churches of the capital.
He also recalled that a double mask or the KN95 should be worn, hands should be disinfected before entering the temple and maintaining a distance of at least one meter from other people.
“It must be remembered that these celebrations must also be held in ventilated spaces and if it is possible to hold outdoor celebrations so that there can be a greater capacity of faithful,” Dioses told Agencia Andean.
Finally, he invited the faithful to attend the temples in compliance with all biosafety protocols responsibly.

In Pachacamac, the same will be done in the parish of Santísima Salvador. The opening hours will be from 7 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon.
On Good Friday, from 7 am to 1 pm, Minsa staff will be present at the church of las Nazarenas, Santa Rosa de Lima church, Lima Cathedral and Virgen del Carmen church.
He will also be immunized in the Villa Fatima parish, located in Rimac, in the Buen Pastor parish, in Los Olivos, and in the parish of Santa María del Carmen, in Independencia. Residents of North Lima will be able to get vaccinated in these places between 8 and 10 in the morning.
