Jorge Eduardo Muñoz Beltrán is the driver of the MÍO feeder bus that collided with the van in which former footballer Freddy Rincón was riding in the early morning of Monday, April 11.
In a dialogue with the Tropicana Cali radio station about the severe accident involving the idol of the Colombian football team in the 1990s, the 28-year-old said that he was just beginning his work shift as a food operator in the mass transport system of the capital of Vallecaucana when the accident.
In these, Muñoz Beltrán recovers from the injuries suffered after the collision of both cars in Cali at the beginning of Easter in 2022. He also said that he has been working for seven months as a bus operator at MÍO and that when the accident happened with Freddy Rincón, he was starting his shift driving the A75 route, in La Sirena.
While the operator remains hospitalized at the Vallesalud Clinic, he also assured that he is waiting for the evolution of the wounds of one of his legs in order to be operated on. This he told the Tropicana radio station about his condition:

In addition to having multiple fractures in his body, Jorge has compromised the tibia and knee of one of his legs, which is immobilized from the hip down. In addition, he assured that to turn this complicated page of his life he has the accompaniment of his wife and six-year-old daughter.
While conscious in a clinic in the capital of Vallecaucana, Jorge recovers from a minor trauma to his head and right parietal. After being initially taken to the San Fernando Clinic, in the south of Cali, he was later referred to the other healthcare center in the north of the city (ValleSalud).
When the authorities carried out a breathalyzer test, it was negative. In addition, when they came to consult him for details about the accident, he said he was driving the bus on Quinta Street around 4:00 a.m., which is usually very low in traffic.
