Fell alias Bonguie, alleged member of the Gulf clan

Atlantic authorities recently announced Libardo's capture of Jesús Romero Martinez, alias Bonguie. This guy would be part of the Gulf Clan criminal structure.

According to information provided by the authorities, alias Bonguie had an arrest warrant for aggravated homicide when he was caught by the authorities. The Gulf Clan reportedly ordered the assassination that occurred last year in the municipality of Repelón, Atlántico.

The National Police reported that in the midst of the capture, officials seized a motorcycle as well as a firearm carried by the offender when he was arrested by the authorities.

“We announce the capture of a hit man belonging to zone 3 who commanders in Sabanalarga, where this individual is known by the alias Bonguie and presents an arrest warrant,” said Colonel Carlos Currea, commander of the Atlantic Police, who added that “at the time of the capture he was seized a motorcycle and also had a firearm.”

According to the authorities, this subject identified as Libardo de Jesús Romero Martínez presents several notes for various crimes such as homicide and illegal carrying of weapons.

Another member of the Gulf Clan captured in flagrance

Recently it became known that in Puerto Santander, Norte de Santander, another alleged member of the Gulf Clan was arrested. Authorities identified the subject arrested in flagrante as Yoanderson Joya Bermeo.

According to the Attorney General's Office, the subject was surprised by the authorities when he carried 25 5.56 caliber rifle cartridges, a 9 mm supplier with capacity for 18 rounds and ten 9 mm cartridges.

According to information from the authorities, at the time of the capture, the alleged member of the Gulf Clan tried to bribe those uniformed who required him to avoid being arrested. In view of the refusal of the members of the security forces, the offender reportedly proceeded to threaten them.

“At the time of his arrest, he apparently wanted to bribe the officials of the National Police, who arrested him and threatened them in the face of their rejection,” the Prosecutor's Office recently reported.

As part of the process being carried out by the Attorney General's Office, it is investigated whether the accused is an active member of the criminal group called Clan del Golfo and allegedly responsible for four homicides that occurred in rural areas of El Zulia and Puerto Llerás.

In turn, the authorities seek to establish whether Yoanderson Joya is the perpetrator of the torture of several abductees in the region, who were subsequently disappeared.

A promiscuous municipal judge in El Zulia decided to issue an intramural insurance measure following the request of a sectional prosecutor of Norte de Santander, for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking or carrying weapons for the exclusive use of the armed forces or explosives in competition with the crime of manufacturing, trafficking or carrying firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.

It should be noted that the alleged member of the Gulf Clan did not attack the charges against him.
