The Ministry of Environment reported that, through its National School of Environmental Training Savia, it opened a call for 1,000 Colombians to be able to train for free on topics such as environmental care, ecosystem protection, responsible environmental consumption, among others.
The Minister of Environment, Carlos Eduardo Correa, explained that the training will be carried out virtually and will have four types of academic offers, which those interested will be able to select depending on their interest: diplomas, courses, chairs and seminars.
According to Correa, the call, which was launched in agreement with the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), will offer a total of 2,938 places, of which the first 1,000 will be offered in this first call.

Among the courses that interested parties can apply for are: Entrepreneurship for organizational processes, Entrepreneurship and the Orange Economy; Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity; Human Rights, Gender and Victims; Human Rights, Evaluation of Public Policies; and Personal and Economic Empowerment of Rural Women.

The Ministry of Environment pointed out that, through these educational projects, “they will seek to promote an environmental culture among women, community mothers, young people, students, teachers, ethnic communities, artists, journalists, business associations, entrepreneurs, tourism sector, SMEs, public forces, universities, officials public and citizenship in general.”

Within the framework of its environmental strategy, the Ministry of Environment also announced in recent days that it created the children's story “Winds of change, a story of carbon neutrality”, a story that shows children and adolescents what the country will look like in the year 2050 when it is achieved meet the goal of net zero emissions of polluting gases.
