
The elections held on 13 March left several surprises, both in the inter-party consultations and in the legislative elections. One of the greatest expectations was generated by the New Liberalism, not only because it was the first time that the name of this group appeared on a card, but because of the names that made up the 'zip' lists, that is, made up of women and men in the same number.
Characters such as Sandra Borda, Carlos Camargo and Mabel Lara stood out in the closed list of the group that, according to its motto, took the flags of New Liberalism, the one that Luis Carlos Galán defended until the day of his assassination. But, despite the relevance of those figures, the match was one of the 'burned' after the day.
