Camila Jurado is one of the most recognized young actresses on Colombian television, thanks to her participation in successful productions such as Pa' quererte (RCN) and Distrito salvaje (Netlfix).
This work on the screens has caused the young woman to accumulate a large number of followers on social networks, who were surprised several weeks ago, with a series of posts in which she shared the results of some photo shoots for which she posed in the company of other women.
And while she received a lot of praise from those who admire her talent for modeling, she was also the victim of homophobic comments and cyberbullying by users who called her 'lesbian' and 'homosexual', as if that were an insult.
Although the actress said that she is not Ana's girlfriend (the woman who appears with her in the photographs), she warns that if so, it would be very “sick” for them to endure criticism from those who believe that homosexual couples seek their approval, especially those whose members have some kind of public recognition.
In addition, she was grateful to the thousands of users who stopped following her since she shared those photos.
The young woman even said that after all the controversy and thought she was homosexual, a company with which she had a preagreement for an advertising campaign, she called her agency to undo the project because “they weren't going with it.”
“They are people who, in some way, are promoting the hatred that often turns into physical violence and rejection, because many people in the LGBTI community have suffered from depression and anxiety because they are victims of these questions, also those who have committed suicide because of the same thing,” he added in his talk with 'The Network' .
Finally, Camila Jurado invited those who follow and listen to her to dare to question the bases on which they were educated, as she warns that no one should suffer from the rejection and hatred of others, just because their perceptions of sexuality are different.
