
Colombian cycling continues to stand out with every presentation that coffee riders have the opportunity to make. Some of the great performances this season have been given by Nairo Quintana of Arkea Samsic, who won the title of the Alpes-Maritimes Tour and the Tour de la Provence in February, while Sergio Higuita from Bora Hansgrohe won his first World Tour round with the 101st edition of the Vuelta a Catalunya 2022, in where he also won the best climber shirt and the best young man of the competition.
Now Daniel Martínez of Ineos Grenadiers has achieved an important result in the 2022 Tour of the Basque Country, where he won the title, a stage victory and the regularity shirt against heavy rivals such as Remco Evenepoel, from Quick Step Alpha Vinil, and Primoz Roglic, from Jumbo Visma, among others such as Ion Izagirre from the Cofidis and Vlasov del Bora, who were second and third respectively.
However, the other Colombian cyclists will continue to participate in other important rounds of the European calendar, such as the Ardennes classics. These competitions are one-day and although coffee riders don't tend to excel much in them, their work and experience, as well as the skill on the bike, make them called gregarious in several competitions.
On this occasion, three Colombians will participate in the Dutch competition in which the classicomanians will give a great show. Boyaca-born Sebastián Molano will be an important letter for UAE Team Emirates that arrives with Italian Matteo Trentin and Swiss Marc Hirschi as team leaders.
Meanwhile, the Breton team Arkea Samsic will count as capo Warren Barguil who won the Miguel Indurain Grand Prix a few weeks ago, this time the Frenchman will have Winner Anacona as gregarius, the native of Tunja has already excelled at different times in this work, including for Nairo Quintana in some triumphs since several years ago.

Among the favorites for the 254.1 km race are the local Mathieu van der Poel with the Alpecin Fenix, Christophe Laporte from Jumbo Visma, as well as his teammate Tiesj Benoot. From Ineos Grenadiers will be the Englishman Tom Pidcock and Michael Kwiatkowski, to name a few.
The competition will start from Maastricht, birthplace of rider Tom Dumoulin of Jumbo Visma and winner of the 2017 Giro d'Italia, and will go to the city of Valkenburg. This Sunday, April 10, only the specialists in these slopes laden routes will be able to stand out, so it will be unmissable for cycling fans.
