Within the framework of the process of revocation of the president-elect for the period 2018-2024, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, where millions of people will be able to give his opinion on Sunday, April 10, so that the Mexican president ends his term early, the government of Mexico City announced that the so-called Dry Law will be implemented.
This will deny the sale of alcoholic beverages in the 16 mayors of the demarcation, since according to the Official Gazette of the CDMX, what will be sought with this decision is to maintain order and ensure the completion of the revocation.
In this regard, here we will recall the days and times when the Dry Law must be respected, a measure that must be applied in all commercial establishments, as well as orders for the sale of groceries and groceries in general.
At what time will the Dry Law start?
The Dry Law will begin at 18:00 hours on Saturday, April 9 and will be maintained until Sunday, April 10 at 11:59 PM.
This will suspend the sale of intoxicating drinks in: self-service and department stores, shops, wine shops, licensed supermarkets, apps, among others.
The only way to consume alcoholic beverages will be in establishments such as restaurants, as long as they are accompanied by food during your stay on site.
Those who violate the Law will be referred to the corresponding Civic Court to issue the sanction of the person concerned, as appropriate.
While, other states will also enforce the ban, but it will vary in schedules.
What are the states that will apply the Dry Law?
*Zacatecas.- The entity authorized the measure only for Sunday, April 10 (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
*Campeche.- From 1:00 on April 9 and until 23:59 hours on Sunday 10.
*Tlaxcala.- From Saturday, April 9 at 1:00am and throughout Sunday.
*Tabasco.- All day April 10.
*Quintana Roo.- It will begin at 23:59 hours on Saturday and will end at the same time as Sunday 10.
*Guanajuato and Nuevo León.- In this case, it will start at 22:00 hours on April 9 and end at 23:59 hours on April 10.
According to the information, some entities of the Republic have not yet given details on the implementation of the Dry Law.
It should be remembered that the Mandate Revocation process was requested by citizens to determine the early termination of Andrés Manuel López Obrador's office, based on the loss of trust.
Throughout the procedure, that is, on Sunday, April 10, participants or interested parties must cast their votes freely and secretly in the boxes installed for this purpose.
Citizens should mark only one of the two options to the question: “Do you agree that Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of the United Mexican States, should his mandate be revoked due to loss of confidence or remain in the presidency until the end of his term?”
