In view of the conflicts between the citizens of Huancayo and the members of the Peruvian National Police, as a result of the national strike of carriers, Congress of the Republic demonstrated through its parliamentarians.
In that sense, the legislators, whether from the ruling party or the opposition, agreed that President Pedro Castillo let a lot go by time to put cold cloths on the underlying problem and urged him to set up a dialogue table.
The President of Congress, María del Carmen Alva, urged the Government to intervene quickly in the conflict that has generated shortages of basic goods. “There are 5 days of the stoppage of heavy cargo carriers, regrettable human losses, shortages nationwide, and no solution. From Congress, we demanded that the Government create a dialogue table with carriers and farmers to reach an agreement,” he tweeted.
Faced with this, the spokesman of the Peru-Libre bench, Waldemar Cerrón, indicated that tomorrow, Saturday, April 2, more members of the Government's delegation, of which he is part, will arrive in Junín to set up the dialogue table with transporters and farmers who are observing an indefinite strike.
“Tomorrow we are traveling a commission to be able to continue talking. Today (in the Government Palace) there have been a good number of ministers and tomorrow we will hold the dialogue table, possibly there will be the premier and some ministers who will accompany us,” he said as he left the executive headquarters where the president met with various authorities.
The parliamentarian pointed out that they do not yet have a set agenda and that once there they will “set up the dialogue table”, because “so far there is no specific list of complaints about what the friends of transport, agriculture and merchants who have pledged to this measure pose,” he added to the press.

“President Pedro Castillo Terrones, the people of Huancayo are not waiting for their ministers, they are waiting for you! I hope you understand that the needs of the population are more important than opening a sporting event,” Muñante published.

“To my brothers and sisters in Junín: resist. The Government must listen to and respond to their legitimate demands. And so it will be. I am now in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, coordinating the Dialogue Table. We will attend Huancayo in order to dialogue and come to an early agreement, to end this stoppage,” he posted.
GOVERNMENT CREATES TECHNICAL TABLE
The Government created a temporary working group called “High-level Technical Table to Contribute to Solving the Problem of Freight Transport in the Country”, which will report to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
This provision was established by Ministerial Resolution 113-2022-PCM, published in the extraordinary bulletin of Legal Norms of the Official Gazette El Peruano.
The purpose of this technical round table is to analyze and propose solutions to the problem of freight transport in the country; it is composed of the head of Transport who will chair it, and composed of the Ministers of Commerce, Economy, Justice, Culture, Energy, and the Interior.
It will also have the functions of drawing up a work plan that contains a definition of objectives, a schedule of activities, the identification of responsible actors and deadlines for their implementation; and to identify, analyze and propose concrete solutions in the short and long term in relation to the problem of cargo transport in the country.
