The Attorney General's Office of the State of Sonora (FGJE) announced that the member of the Mothers Buscadora collective of Sonora, has been located safe and sound in the Cajeme municipality of the entity.
Angelica Yaneth Armenta Quintero, whose whereabouts have not been known since March 10, returned home after 19 days.
Angelica disappeared after going on a search to locate her son, in Cajeme, Sonora. But the family did not notice her absence until two days later, who communicated with the group to which she belongs, the Collective Mothers Seekers of Sonora.
They were informed that they had not contacted her since a week earlier, when she began the search for her son.
On March 14, the Prosecutor's Office received the report of disappearance, according to what was reported in the same statement, although they also denied that Angelica had filed a complaint for the disappearance of her 19-year-old son Yair Caro.

Faced with the lack of progress in the investigation, the collective decided to do its part by asking society for information about their whereabouts. However, on 29 March it was reported by the Prosecutor's Office that Yaneth had been located.
According to a statement from the Prosecutor's Office, Angelica returned “on her own foot. Before the staff of this Prosecutor's Office, he declared that he was at a friend's house”, since he was going through a critical emotional state.
In the same way, they pointed out that he does not have any type of injury or physical involvement. Even so, “you will be provided with psychological care and accompaniment by personnel from the Victim Care Center (CAVID), of this Prosecutor's Office,” according to the authorities.
The collective has been involved in the search for missing persons in the state and several search days have even been held in collaboration with the authorities and search groups. However, because of their work they have been subjected to attacks and threats by criminal groups.
At the beginning of February, following an anonymous complaint, the Seeking Mothers went to a property in Santa Ana where about 8 bodies were found in a clandestine grave. They were also warned that it served as an extermination camp, since ovens were found in which bodies were cremated by organized crime groups operating in the entity.

In fact, moments after they reported the discovery on their social networks, they suffered an attack, so they called on the Prosecutor's Office to support and protect them.
It should be noted that several of its members have been threatened and in the past Gladys Aranza Ramos Gurrola was murdered on July 15, 2021, who was looking for her husband Bryan Omar Celaya Alvarado.
According to the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), Aranza had lodged a complaint with the Office of the Prosecutor, but there was no response from the authorities. For this reason, the Commission required the law enforcement agencies of the state of Sonora to carry out an expedited investigation, considering the line of investigation derived from their search activity.
Likewise, the leader of the Collective, Cecilia Patricia Flores Armenta, indicated that months ago they received death threats for their work. Days after Aranza's murder, Cecilia suffered an attempted extortion call.
