On the occasion of the FIFA date, Club América de México organized a tour of the United States where the first match was against Monterrey. The Monterrey Rayados defeated the Eagles of America 2-1 in a preparation match played during the FIFA Date at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. In a great first half, Monterrey scored two goals, while in the complement the Aguilas scored the one for the discount.
