After the controversy during the inauguration of the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), where a woman set up a small stall to sell tlayudas, the Government of Mexico announced this Friday a festival dedicated to this typical dish.
Through her social networks, the head of the federal Ministry of Culture, Alejandra Frausto, reported that on March 26 and 27, you will be able to enjoy tlayudas, doraditas and “the best of the popular Mexican cuisine” at the Los Pinos Cultural Complex.
According to the official, attendees will try the “most famous doraditas in Toluca”, those of the Piña family, who went viral by selling the typical dish at the airport, from 11:00 to 18:00 hours.
To the announcement, the reactions of Internet users did not take long, as users congratulated the current administration for organizing such events and giving space to small businesses.
“Congratulations to Doña Lupita for her audacity and how good they gave her this opportunity” and “'How? Tlayudas in the pines? Wasn't it enough for them to make a fool of themselves at AIFA? Welcome third world. ' -Those who boast Mexican food with foreigners”, were some of the comments.
However, many others regretted that the government took advantage of women's fame to hold the festival, and compared it to “a guy trying to make a Tik Tok”.

It should be recalled that on March 21, hours after President López Obrador inaugurated one of his flagship projects, merchants took the opportunity to sell Mexican snacks and items related to the so-called Fourth Transformation.
However, among the vendors stood out a woman preparing tlayudas without accreditation to users of the new airport.
In a video that went viral on social networks, you can see how elements of the National Guard ask the merchant to leave the premises because informal trade is not allowed in the area, however, the woman insisted on continuing her work and finishing caring for the people who were trained.
“I know it's your job, but (this) is mine and I have to work. I don't want you to be scolded, but give me a chance” you hear the woman say.
