Márquez has been the center of all kinds of criticism because of his constant use of inclusive language where to refer to a crowd he says “everyone, everyone and everyone”. Recently, however, the controversy has arisen over the word “majora” that France used in a speech.
On social networks, several criticisms have aroused towards the Afro-descendant candidate from several users who find no reason for politics to speak in that way, being a reference for many Colombians.
However, it is not all criticism of Márquez, as many of his followers accept and defend the way France communicates, claiming that they feel represented and identified with it.
It would have started precisely after Francia Márquez, once presented as Petro's vice-presidential formula, gave an interview for Noticias Caracol where she explained her campaign slogan “I am because we are”, which is based on her ancestral beliefs, thoughts and roots.
Since then, Twitter has been flooded with comments against which they also questioned her abilities as a possible vice president of Colombia, taking as a starting point her speech with inclusive language.
Given this, politics came out this Friday with a tweet in which, in addition, he explained to the characters Tola and Maruja a criticism that they also made of France and where they hinted that they would be better thinking of voting for the Santanderean Rodolfo Hernández. This was Marquez's response to the comedians:
Several of Francia Márquez's admirers appreciated the explanation and in a way applauded the way he responds to critics about the term that his culture has brought from his ancestors.
The race for the Presidency of the Republic is getting closer and closer in time, so alliances and the presentation of proposals become important at this point so that each of the candidates can achieve the highest possible voter recruitment for the elections on May 29.
Meanwhile, the duo Petro and Márquez won the highest percentage of voting intention according to the most recent poll hired by major media in which the two representatives of the Historical Pact lead with 37%, followed by Antioquia Federico Gutiérrez who is second in voting intention with 19% being the main contender for the first round if the trend continues by then.
Gutiérrez would be presenting in the coming days his vice-presidential formula with which he will aspire to the most important position in the nation as successor to Iván Duque for the next 4 years.
