As the saying goes: “Between heaven and earth there is nothing hidden”, and among the national entertainment industry much less. Rumors that the sentimental story between Alejandro Riaño and Marialejandra Manotas had come to an end began to sound here and there among social networks and the media; then the former couple chose to confirm the issue in question with the aim of settling the talk.
Thus, on Tuesday, March 22, and from their respective Instagram accounts, the comedian and influencer communicated the following:
“To put an end to the gossip and rumors, we want to tell you that since love we have made the decision to end the relationship as a couple. However, from the love we have for each other are our 3 children whom we will always care for and love. We only understood that we were on different paths and we will always support each other and accompany each other as parents and friends. With love we ask you a lot of prudence and respect in the face of this decision.”
On Riaño's side, the comedian posted these words on his Instagram feed and spread a little more to account for the appreciation and respect he feels for his ex-wife. However, the influencer, also in her feed, only published that message and nothing else... until after a couple of hours and, doing so from her Instagram Stories, she spoke about the importance of her family in her healing process.
“I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to write me a little message, I really appreciate it very much, at this moment those things fill my soul and heart. To tell you obviously that this is not a decision we made yesterday or today, it is a decision that we have been talking about for quite a while, each one living their process and healing in different ways. Part of my process and my way of getting ahead is to take refuge in my family, in my work.”
Later, he also gave an account of the desire to keep the situation as private as possible. “... We are going to try to keep this process as private as possible for our children and obviously for us.”
The couple's courtship turned into a marriage commitment in mid-2018. A year later, in 2019, it was that their engagement became definitely a marriage. “A year ago today I said Yes to the most spectacular woman, the best mom, the best friend and the best wife. Thank you my mouse for supporting, enduring and loving me the way you do. I love you!” , were the words of Alejandro Riaño in May 2020, for his then anniversary.
As for their children, the comedian and the influencer lived for the first time the experience of being parents with the birth of Matilde in September 2018. Later, they repeated their role as parents with twins Antonio and Agustín, born in February 2021.
Needless to say, at the time of getting engaged in 2018, the now ex-couple was about their two years of dating.
