During the third week of activities in the intermediate category of the National Student Organization of American Football (ONEFA), one of the most controversial events was led by a coach. During the visit of the IPN Cheyennes to the Authentic UANL Tigers, at the Gaspar Mass Stadium, the spotlights pointed to Gilberto Rocha, the leader of the visitors who tackled a rival player in the middle of the match, a behavior that would have earned him a suspension.
With just over a minute left in the third quarter and the lead of 21 points over 9 of the visitors, the Authentic Tigers offense kicked off a play. The quarterback received the ball and almost immediately made a short pass to prolong the deployment. When he was open, the 87th player received the ovoid, turned to the end zone and continued his career on the left wing.
Noticing that one of his teammates broke the mark of a defender, he continued to run to the edge of the lime line, where he met the Cheyenne coach and fell to the ground after hitting him. The controversial action was immediately sanctioned with a yellow scarf as it was considered an unsportsmanlike attitude. Despite this, the culprit of the precipitation raised his arms in a sign of indifference and estrangement to avoid being expelled from the meeting.
The event was documented in the television broadcast of the party between capitals and neoleonians. By repeating the play on the monitors, it was possible to observe the intention of the rival coach. Although the rest of his team and two other members of the coaching staff met in the area, coach Rocha was the only one who did not make the attempt to take a step back and avoid contact. On the contrary, he prepared to take the blow of the juvenile.
