Father of the head of Jamming was arrested in Ibague

On the morning of last Friday, the first arrest was made for the Jamming Festival case, an event that would take place in Ibague on the bridge from March 19 to 21, but it was only revealed until this Saturday to avoid hindering the investigations being carried out against the organizers.

Juan Raúl Solórzano, owner of the Ibaguera beach resort Playa Hawai — where the Jamming would take place — was involved in the investigation into what happened and has been willing to collaborate with the justice system with the information he knows.

Solórzano, who also had the bitter responsibility of informing the mayor of Ibagué about the cancellation of the event, detailed to the authorities the organization chart of those responsible for the Jamming. The Tolimense newspaper El Nuevo Día offered details of the three most important profiles.

Buena Vibra Eventos is a family business led by dentist and disc jockey Alejandro Casallas, owner of the Casa Babylon nightclub. That place, precisely, was the point of protests and vandalism this Friday by a group of people, frustrated by the lack of responses from the organization.

The main function of lawyer Andrea Casallas, Alejandro's sister, is to handle the company's legal issues. It would also have high decision-making power within Buena Vibra Eventos. When a journalist tried to contact her this Friday during a live program for the newspaper Q'hubo, Casallas hung up the call.

The third person involved is Luis Casallas, the father of Andrea and Alejandro, his son's right-hand man and labor relations coordinator. He was the only person in the organization who gave the face to the owner of Playa Hawaii. He, without his children, remained in a dormitory in this spa when he was detained by the Ibagué Police.

Since yesterday, Luis Casallas was transferred to the prosecutor's bunker to open the CTI process. He remains in custody and is ordered not to leave Ibague until his children appear and the investigation bears fruit.

On the other hand, a hundred police officers are still guarding the surroundings of Playa Hawaii to avoid outages such as those that took place at Casa Babylon, in Bogotá.

The whereabouts of the Casallas brothers are still a mystery, but through social networks they issued a statement detailing the options of replenishment for the more than 150,000 people who purchased a ballot for Jamming.

For example, people can change their festival ticket to attend any of the private events they offer at that company, among which is the presentation of Vicentico, also vocalist of the Fabulous Cadillacs, who will perform in the Colombian capital on May 21 at the Royal Center Theater.

They also have the option of going to the Enanitos Verdes concert that will be held on the same stage on October 1st, an event that also had to be rescheduled in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

In that event company they reported that they could also change the ballots for other events that they will hold during this year and that they would be announced soon.

As for the return of money, they indicated that they will be governed by Article 5 of Decree 818 of June 4, 2020 as to the deadlines they establish for monetary return. This means that, if the health emergency is extended again, Buena Vibra Eventos will have up to one year to make the return.

Although the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce cannot do much about the violations caused by this decree — those who want their money can only wait in a sitting position — they at least stopped the possible sale and promotion of a possible Jamming 2023 among their precautionary measures.
