Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky will address France's deputies by videoconference on Wednesday, the National Assembly (lower house) said in a statement on Friday.

“The war situation that strikes the Ukrainian people concerns all the peoples of Europe, and their parliamentary assemblies,” the note underlines.

Zelenski, whose message is scheduled for 3:00pm (14:00 GMT), has already spoken with parliamentarians of the European Chamber, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and Germany. On Sunday, it will be Israel's turn.

The Ukrainian president on Thursday called on Westerners to help him “stop this war”, after three weeks of Russian offensive on his territory that continues in parallel with talks between Moscow and Kiev.

Next Thursday, NATO will hold an extraordinary summit on the war in Ukraine at its headquarters in Brussels, in which US President Joe Biden will participate.

On the same day, in the Belgian capital, the leaders of the European Union (EU) will also meet, in the presence of Biden, as well as the leaders of the G7.
