In a strange pursuit that has not been clarified, golfer and businesswoman Lidy Villalba, originally from San Luis Potosí, was shot dead, who was traveling on the border of Jalisco with Zacatecas.
Luis Joaquín Méndez, prosecutor of Jalisco, reported that personnel from the ministerial unit and agents of the army participated in the shooting in which the woman lost her life, in addition, two investigative police officers were injured, as well as a couple of civilians.
The persecution began in Ojuelos and culminated in the highway stretch of the community of the Alpes, municipality of Pinos, on the afternoon of this March 17, according to reports from the Jalisco and Zacatecas prosecutors consulted by Infobae Mexico .
These investigations are led by the Attorney General's Office (FGR) and are in the preliminary stage for the collection of evidence, as well as testimony. However, official accounts indicate apparent confusion with the armed civilians who were in the intercepted white van.
José Luis Ruiz Contreras, prosecutor of San Luis Potosí, confirmed that the FGR attracted investigations and reported five people injured. Local media indicate that Lidy Villalba was traveling in the company of escorts, although this has not been corroborated.
“The State Prosecutor's Office is cooperating with them; we were very attentive. Public Security of San Luis went and transferred the injured people here to the capital where they are receiving medical attention,” said the official.
Meanwhile, the authorities in Jalisco did not specify whether they noticed the persecution of the white Cadillac, or were directly involved in those actions in attempting to arrest the passengers.
Well, local media have reported that armed subjects tried to assault the unit in which the former candidate for the federal deputation for the Institutional Revolutionary Party was in.
