If there is anyone who has been able to exploit social networks in the country's political sphere, it is undoubtedly Mariana Rodríguez Cantú, first lady of Nuevo León and wife of Governor Samuel García.
However, the 26-year-old influencer has not been spared from criticism due to her overexposure on digital platforms. On Friday afternoon, “Phospho-phospho” became a trend on Twitter due to a video that went viral and caused controversy.
Mariana was caught when she repressed a child who interrupted her while she was holding a video call sitting on a staircase in what appears to be a park.
He first said “Shhh” and stretched out his arm to stop the noise that the child made with his toy to get his attention. “How are you? I miss you, Nohemi!” , said the woman smiling in front of the front camera of her mobile phone.
However, the infant insisted on him making more noise and that was when Rodriguez released a “Heeey!” , while he put his index finger to his mouth to give him the signal of silence.
This action triggered a series of reactions on Twitter, most of them disapproving, as they described it as rude and intolerant for silencing the minor.
“Mariana Rodríguez did not know that she was being recorded so she behaved as she really is”, “So her idol from Nuevo León”, “Madam, I stopped faking her supposed empathy to children. Faker”, “Apparently he only treats them well when he needs publicity”, reads in the comments.
However, there were other netizens who pointed out that it was not to make a fuss:
“I don't know about you, but when I'm answering a call I need silence to listen to the other person”, “Not that I would have denied him attention”, “Just correct (the child) that he is not respecting the call... You have to teach respect to children, or you can't anymore”, “There are other things that are scandalous in Nuevo León and they criticize her for this,” they wrote.
It should be remembered that, as much as Samuel García, they already went through a controversy after they adopted for a weekend one of the minors of the National System for the Integral Development of Families (DIF) Coapullos, to which they referred that such action is supported by a program that the place itself has.
