Veronica Toussaint announced this Thursday on her official Instagram account that she has concluded her chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer. The actress celebrated that the cycle had ended, however, she wrote that there is still a long way to go, so this has undoubtedly been one of the greatest challenges in the artist's life.
“And the cycle of 16 chemos is over. It is still missing, but today this cycle ends, which is undoubtedly the greatest challenge of my life. But with his love and energy everything was easier. Thank you Infinitas”, he posted from his Instagram stories.
Since last October 7, the host revealed on the program ¡Que chulada! That less than two months ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer, Toussaint added that she began treatment and that it could last several years.
“The doctors decided to give chemotherapy first, I started them and then it would be the operation, since they reduced the tumor. My doctors don't tell me how long my treatment will last, but it will be a long distance race; it may be one year, two, but the follow-ups are many years”

Several artists also demonstrated their support and affection for the news, such as Sandra Echeverría, the protagonist of María Félix in the Televisa Univision bioseries, who wrote a story on her official Instagram account, in which she confirmed her support for the actress. “The last chemo of my beloved presh. And here we are to welcome you as you leave your 16th chemo session. We are so proud of you and we love you madly @veronicatouss”, posted Echeverría.
In an interview with the magazine TVyNotas, the winner of Ariel, confessed that part of her health routine is to do a general examination to detect any anomalies, however, at no time was she diagnosed with this disease, until it manifested itself physically. “I always do my routine studies with the gynecologist: The Pap smear, the mammogram and everything, but the truth is that the monthly self-examinations to detect changes in the breast are not done; however, I got a very large ball in my armpit and it was impossible not to see it,” he said.

The Mexican host added that another study was conducted, in which she confirmed that they were cancer cells, however, before it was not denoted in the mammograms, so the specialists considered it as a reaction of the vaccine to COVID-19.
“The lymph node was swollen and there was a tumor in the breast, which for some reason hadn't come out on the mammograms. I went to check, they told me it was an inflamed lymph node and they thought it was a reaction to the COVID vaccine; then they gave me anti-inflammatory, but it never worked. I had another mammogram and the tumor already appeared; actually, the ganglion was the gossip, thank goodness!”

In other statements in the aforementioned magazine, Veronica shared her feelings when she heard the news. “That is the part that is struggling for me: showing myself vulnerable, crying because I do, because I have cancer, because it is in the ching* because I'm scared, because I don't know what's going to happen, I don't know how I'm going to feel. The first thing that comes to mind is: 'I have cancer, I'm going to die. Game over (end of the game). And then, it's hard to digest it, because I think maybe I won't die, but I'm going to be this green skull that vomits all day, because chemo destroys me.”
