In the last few hours, in the center of the city of Medellín there was an accident in which a young designer was rammed by a private car, which allegedly works on digital transport platforms and was moving in the opposite direction along a street of wineries.
The incident was recorded on video, where Angie Bedoya, who works in a lithograph, was working and as she passed the street to another company establishment in front of her office, was surprised by a high-speed vehicle.
The 21-year-old girl is in the intensive care unit (ICU) with a reserved prognosis, sedated, under induced coma and therefore in a delicate state of health. The car, which was speeding, carried it over, so, according to witnesses of the incident, the woman was lying a few meters across the street.
According to Alexander Arenas, the victim's co-worker, told Noticias Caracol, the woman was prudent when passing the avenue, looking to see if any car passed in the direction of the street, when this driver appears out of nowhere quickly, running over her and running away.
Thanks to security cameras in the area, it was possible to verify how the events occurred and it serves as reliable evidence to prosecute the person at the time of capture. The authorities are looking for the driver who, in addition to escaping, did not help the designer.
For their part, both the Ministry of Health and Mobility went to the scene, to be aware and be able to care for the young woman, who was transferred to a care center, where they initially reported that she had several traumas. This was indicated by the commander of the Medellín secretariat, Luis Fernando Vargas.
The CES Clinic, where Angie is hospitalized, has not commented on her state of health. According to the witness, the authorities must have greater control on that street, since he says that it has a high accident rate, both in vehicles and motorcycles, due to the lack of culture, since several have this behavior of using it in the opposite direction.
