On the morning of this Wednesday, March 16, a man died when he was hit by his own car in the city of Huaraz, Áncash region. He would have been fixing a fault in the front of his station wagon, but the engine was running. The vehicle went ahead and ran over him.
The deceased was identified as Darío Flores Robles, 28 years old. According to local media, he had been detained in the vicinity of La Aventura Park to attend to a mechanical failure in his car. He got out of it and moved to the front of the car and lifted the hood.
Security camera footage from a nearby building captured the moment when the vehicle suddenly advanced and rammed the man. He fell to the ground and could not escape being run over.
