Four soldiers were killed in the attack on the security forces of Antioquia and Norte de Santander.

The Gulf Clan and Eln Guerrillas are responsible for the harassment for which the military died.

According to the military itself on Wednesday, four army soldiers were killed in an attack by illegal armed groups that committed crimes in the East and West.

One of the victims was Fabio Nelson Sarmiento, a professional soldier, who was attacked by a sniper in the Eln guerrilla during a rural operation in the municipality of Theo Rama (Norte de Santander).

In a statement from the agency, it was reported that the incident occurred exactly in the village of El Juncal and that two soldiers were injured along with Sarmiento being treated in the hospital of the department.

“First aid was provided immediately by the first responders. However, Fabio Nelson Sarmiento, a professional soldier who worked in the institution for 18 years, died on the spot. The injured, uniformed personnel will be evacuated to the health center and treated by specialized medical personnel.” It was reported in the rapid deployment unit command section No. 3.

Through the official Twitter account of the 2nd Army Division, he expressed his condolences to the deceased soldier.

“We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of a soldier killed by Elne in Norte de Santander, and we pray for his eternal rest.”

Meanwhile, in Western Antioquia, it was reported that three more soldiers died while fighting dissidents from the FARC and the Gulf clan.

In the newspaper El Colombiano, they reported that one of the soldiers who died was operating in a rural area of the municipality of Ituango, north of the department. Guineo, the criminal officer of one of the FARC dissidents, was also murdered along with another destroyer. In addition, another criminal leader of the armed group and a forcibly recruited minor were arrested.

The seventh division of the Army revealed that the dead soldier was identified as Edison Lopez Sierra. Army Commander General Eduardo Zapateiro expressed his condolences to the military family through his Twitter account.

“I express my condolences to the Sierra family, Edison Lopez, a professional soldier who was killed by Go-R E-18,” said a senior officer.

Two other soldiers died when they were attacked by members of the Gulf Clan, but gathered at El Colombiano through information provided by the authorities.

The seventh commander, General Juvenal Díaz Mateus, said: “In a very regrettable case in the town of Badillo, the municipality of Ituango, the unit of the 4th Brigade, which secured the right to vote, was attacked by bandits from the Gulf Clan, and unfortunately two soldiers were killed in the Army Division.

The dead soldiers were identified as Diego Velázquez Cardona and Adrian Kiseno Quiceno. General Zapateiro also expressed his condolences for their death.

“We pray forever to the Almighty for the eternal rest of our heroes.Peace in the grave,” he concluded.
