Gerardo Fernández Noroña, of the Labour Party, recently sent a message to the European Parliament using a tribune from the Chamber of Representatives. Addressed a call to Mexico to improve protection protocols for journalists.
The deputy coordinator of the PT parliamentary group thought that this document from the MEP was only part of a coup campaign against the Fourth Transformational Government led by President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrado (AMLO).
During a presentation in front of the Federal Assembly, he said, “It is a coup d'état, a law that is famous in the name of a law in which a campaign against a government that serves the people and comes from the minds of the people
In addition, he recalled that AMLO described MEPs as sheep in a diplomatic response letter, which caused great controversy when considering MEPs as “snakes”.
In this regard, he also described the parliament of the old continent as a “hypocrite”, considering that there are no public declarations or accusations of similar issues within its borders, such as the sale of weapons.
“They say they have the right to comment on issues of freedom of expression and human rights (...) First he had to talk to his opponent, the Mexican Parliament, discuss issues and exchange information, and if they nevertheless decided to make a statement, that was their right.” He said.
With the applause of his colleagues, he was convinced that Congress was talking about freedom of expression for journalists, but in cases like Julian Assange, for example, he did not declare it. “His only sin is to be a journalist who exposes hypocrisy and bastard economic and political interests of the US government”.
He also accused the government of the PRI Enrique Peña Nieto and the government of the PAN player Felipe Calderón that a massacre against the Mexican people occurred and that “the European Parliament stopped suffering like all the cruel massacres and mummies.”
Finally, the House of Representatives of Mexico City stated that the Chamber of Commerce had no problem participating in an open dialogue with the European Parliament, but first it was clear that Europeans would have to withdraw “rude documents”.
And to those who attacked Andrés Manuel López Obrador, he claimed that after a tumultuous response through the presidency of the Republic, “little patriotism is needed to applaud the stupidity of the European Parliament” and claimed that “there is no blood in the blood vessels.”
In this regard, he considered that, despite the constant attacks of the opposition after General Lazaro Cardenas of Mexico, AMLO did not show a patriotic president, guarantor, who, as he showed, committed and respected freedom of expression and human rights.
“It's over, listen well, robbery, loot, call whatever you want, we will no longer tolerate it, we are not painted, we are not their toys, we serve the Mexican people and others, we serve with great glory, with dedication and honor, pride,” concluded the Mexican representative of the fetista bench.
