Phil Andrews resigned from his position as treasurer of the Pan American Federation (PAWF) and said he was “unable to fulfill the role of accounting in accordance with the standards required by such responsibilities.”
His resignation was submitted in a letter to all members of the Pan American Executive Committee.
Andrews is still the CEO of the US weightlifter and will continue to serve in that role.
In his letter, he says: “A lot of challenges that make it difficult to work under my own high level of ethical standards. These factors and the actions of others have prevented me from overseeing the financial health of the organization in an appropriate, ethical and responsible manner.”
At this point, no position aliases have been specified.
