
Trying to be a pleasant meeting between friends was eventually marked by violence. Around 5 am on Monday, March 14, the gravy party that was held on a public road due to a gun shooting was over. Exactly in the 6th block of Renovación jiron, located in the district, The Victory. The first journalistic report confirmed that two people were injured, but over time the figure increased to three.
Those who received bullet wounds were identified as Zuano Stefano Pahuelo Peña (25), Dailey Rossio Ordires Obando (21), and Eduardo Abraham Raymundo Cabrera (27). The latter became known a few hours later when it was discovered at the Dos de Mayo hospital that it was wrong at the height of the abdomen. The young Ordires suffered a gunshot wound in his ankle and was taken to the same health center, and Pajuelo is in serious condition, like a bullet that hit his head.
“I heard noise, screams, shooting, but I don't go out and see them. It was quite a few shots at 5 o'clock in the morning. I don't know who they are or what's going to happen,” was a neighbor's statement about the newspaper La República. He pointed out that social gatherings of this type often culminate in violent acts, so he asked the authorities to take action on the matter and avoid possible misfortunes.
“Sometimes it ends like this, the bottle is thrown away and a scream is heard. Threatened, no one is doing anything. We ask the police to pass by more often. This should be banned by the virus, but people don't care.”
Agents from Depincri de La Victoria reported that they would close facilities that carried out covert activities and that the explanation of the violent encounter that took place early Monday was suspected of settling. For the time being, investigations to determine the true cause of the incident are still under investigation.
Crime measures
The debate on how to deal with the issue of crime and civil unrest has been going on for many years, so the authorities decided to implement certain measures that were supported and rejected by the population. The most recent attempt by the government to end the crime wave is to implement a state of emergency in Lima and Callao, which began on February 3 of this year and will last for the next 45 days.
The above-mentioned decree provides for the right to freedom, the inviolability of the home, freedom of assembly and, in particular, freedom of movement in the national territory, as specified in paragraphs 9, 11, 12 and 24 of the Constitution, during the period governing the measures adopted by the executive.
Among the suspended rights is freedom of assembly. In regular periods, there are no problems with congregations, groupings or gatherings, but if the authorities deem it appropriate, they can suspend this type of activity. Together with the police, the military participates in monitoring and caring for the city as long as the above measures are in place. Measures have been put in place that must be respected at all times so as not to fall into attitudes that violate human rights.
