Manchester United's coach Ralph Langnick was convinced that “he cannot break down the Atletico wall”, lamenting his 1-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid in the 16th round of the Champions League this Tuesday.
Rangnick stated that Atletico's defense “It's not so easy to break down a wall. We don't think we had the physique to break down Atletico's wall.”
The German coach of Manchester United complained about the constant suspension of the game and regretted the goal that his team seemed to not know how to assimilate.
“We loved the first half of the year. The only thing we couldn't achieve was to turn that energy into a goal.” Rangnick said.
“If you don't do this, it's very important that you don't fit (Mark). It's very important to score your first goal, especially against a team like Atletico.” He said.
“In the second half of the year, we do not know if we played for more than two minutes without interruption, or if there was a curious decision of the referee,” added the United coach.
“For us, the second half was disappointing, we tried everything and had set pieces two or three times, but when they were at stake, they didn't generate much.” He said.
