Latest news from Movistar Peru. The company that offers telephone, internet and cable services made an announcement to users subscribed to one of its plans due to the changes they will undergo in the first week of April. What is it about?
The sudden announcement by Movistar TV indicates that content from channels belonging to Disney, specifically to the provider of The Walt will be stopped Disney Company. This means that they will be available until March 31.
It should be noted that this change in its programming will not only affect Peru, but all countries in the region that have channels or services offered by Disney.
MOVISTAR PRESS RELEASE
The company offering this service sent an official message to its entire community of users who have a cable subscription plan. In this they indicate the decision they have made. “We inform you, by decision of the programmer Disney, from April 1, 2022, the following signals will no longer be transmitted. We remind you that these changes apply according to the contracted package and do not affect the total number of channels included in the contract,” the announcement states.
WHAT CHANNELS WON'T BE SEEN ON MOVISTAR TV?
From the date indicated, Peruvian users will not be able to watch the channels of FCM, Star Life, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Kids and Disney XD. These will be changed to Clover (series and movies), UCL (news), Lolly Kids, Tooncast (children's entertainment) and El Tiempo.
In the statement, Movistar has recommended that its community review the plans they offer and learn more about this change through their website.

If you are not satisfied with the impending change, you can contact the customer service center for more information or, if you wish, purchase a new cable plan.
WHAT'S GOING ON WITH DISNEY?
Since its digital platform was created, in which we can find series and first-run films, it has been involved in the competitive streaming market, having Netflix as its main rival. This would be one of the reasons why it would seek to bring all its contents together in one destination, without having alliances with other services.
Not only is Netflix and Disney Plus available in the region, but there is also access to the HBO Max, Amazon Prime and Apple TV+ catalogs. The success of these platforms has led to a considerable increase in the number of subscribers, in addition to improving the quality of their services and productions.
It should come as no surprise that many of these original creations have been nominated and won in major film and television awards.
DISNEY PLUS PRICE IN PERU
The price of Disney Plus in Peru is from S/25.90 per month, so you can access content on the platform from series, movies and documentaries.
You can buy Netflix on your smartphone, tablet, smart TV, laptop or streaming device, all for a monthly fee from S/24.90 to S/44.90.
