Two weeks after its release on PlayStation and PC, Babylon's Fall cannot sustain the numerous criticisms from its users. With a score of 42 on Metacritic, the action RPG developed by Platinum Games (NieR: Automata, Astral Chain) did not live up to initial expectations. But Square Enix is not giving up and announced via Twitter that it will start a general survey on how to improve the problematic aspects of the game.
According to their slogan, they will divide the questionnaire by topic and start with the graphic aspects of the title. Until March 18, questions will be available to all users and will cover the appearance of playable characters, NPCs, equipment design, camera movement and maps.
Even so, most users on the networks agree that this aspect is not the most problematic, but that disconnection with servers, unintuitive combat, unconvincing narrative and the need for extra services to play in multiplayer co-op are the main problems that the company should have tackle.
Meanwhile, Square Enix announced that Babylon's Fall will receive more updates with game modes, campaign content and weaponry at no extra cost. All players who enjoyed the experience before the official launch can access a Premium Battle Pass for free during Season 1.
Babylon's Fall was released on March 3 with the aim of becoming a major game as a service (an experience that grows with paid updates, such as subscriptions) that is geared towards cooperative multiplayer. His story tells how players must become “Sentinels” to overcome the enemies of the Tower of Babylon and guides them through a medieval fantasy story whose key is teamwork.
