Salzburg (FIL) The 69th Congress of the International Luge Federation (FIL) will be held in Salzburg (AUT) on September 24-25, 2021.
Originally, the annual meeting of the World Luge Federation had been scheduled for June 2021 in Beijing (CHN), but then, due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, it had been postponed to September 24/25 for the time being without a decision on a venue. The venue Salzburg was later chosen by the FIL Executive Board.
An extensive agenda awaits the delegates of the member federations on the two days of the Congress.
In addition to the work reports of the members of the FIL Executive Board, the report of the President and the Secretary General, the financial report, discussions on the reports and the motions for amendments to the Statutes, there will also be presentations by the Organising Committees of the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing 2022, the FIL Championships 2022 and the Working Group Leaders for the SLIDE 2026 Startegy Plan.
In accordance, honours for deserving officials and the awarding of FIL Championships until 2025 at the latest are planned.
