GREENVILLE, SC – More than 450 of the world’s best athletes representing over 45 countries will be in Greenville, South Carolina, August 27 – September 1, 2014, for the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships event.
Sponsored by the Union CyclisteInternationale (UCI), the world governing body of professional cycling,the World Championships feature time trial and road race competitionswith participating athletes racing on bikes that are adapted to his or her ability: traditional or adapted bicycle, tandem, tricycle or handcycle.
The World Championships has not been hosted in the U.S. city since Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1998.
Alltime trial and road race competitions, from start to finish, will be held at the Millennium Campus, located at 200 Carolina Point Parkway in Greenville.Major sponsors of the 2014 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships
