(ATR) A new online portal will allow users to report instances of doping directly to the International Association of Athletics Federations.
The secure portal will appear on the IAAF website, and can be accessed here (https://www.iaaf.org/report-integrity/en). The portal will be available in six languages, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, and Arabic.
All information disseminated in the portal will be anonymous and protected on secure servers provided by the federation, according to a release. Contact information for users is optional, and would only be used in following up on incidents according to the IAAF. The federation said in a statement that all information will be analyzed with "internationally recognized intelligence models".
The IAAF is encouraging users to submit instances of doping, coaches known to encourage use of banned substances, trafficking of illicit substances and new doping substances. IAAF president Seb Coe said in a statement the portal was designed to encourage everyone to "stand tall for clean athletes".
"The future of our sport relies on the entire athletics community doing everything it can to oppose cheating," Coe added.
"This easily accessible but secure Report Doping portal gives us all the means to play our part. Even the smallest piece of information could be vital in helping to protect the integrity of competition and a level playing field."
