Pinelli was on the scene for ATRcovering the International Volleyball Federation Beach Volleyball World Championshps. While there he reported on the 2024/2028 Olympics decision, a Brazilian-like vibe, the outcome of both the men's and women's finals, the federation's quest for tier one status, and of course the ubiquitous marketing slogan.
"We are in a golden era and this golden era is reflected by numbers," FIVB president Ary Graça told ATRin Vienna, before Sunday’s Brazil vs. Austria gold medal match.
"We made a huge investment in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro – before that in London, we did not think we would have such a success in beach volleyball, but we did."
