Universal Sports Network and NBC present more than 48 hours, including 42 hours live, of premier track & field action from the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China, from Saturday, August 21, through Sunday, August 30. Approximately 2,000 athletes representing more than 200 countries will compete at the famed Bird’s Nest stadium, home of the 2008 Summer Olympics, with less than one year to the 2016 Rio Games.
Universal Sports kicks off its live coverage this Friday, August 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET that includes heats for the men’s 800m, women’s 1500m, and men’s 3000m steeplechase, heptathlon events and the men’s marathon.
NBC begins weekend coverage on Saturday, August 22 at 3 p.m. ET with the heats for the men’s 100M and 400m hurdles, and the finals for the women’s shot put and men’s 10,000m. Daily coverage continues on both NBC and Universal Sports through Sunday, August 30 at 2 p.m. ET with NBC’s coverage of the final day of competition, concluding the world championships. The broadcast team of Ato Boldon, Tom Hammond, Todd Harris, Lewis Johnson and Craig Masback will call all evening sessions from Beijing for both NBC and Universal Sports.
In addition, UniversalSports.com will live stream all events that air on Universal Sports Network. NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices and tablets – will stream all programming that airs on NBC.
