
(ATR) The SportAccord Convention plenary conference will take place on Thursday, April 21 in Lausanne and will focus on the ‘Mission of Sport’. The convention begins on April 17 at the Swiss Tech Convention Center.
Industry leaders will talk about how the Olympic Movement needs to adapt and innovate to meet the modern standards of sports business.
Director of Olympic Movement for Coca-Cola Thierry Bora, Jamie Fuller of New FIFA Now, president of the International Tennis Federation David Haggerty, Rugby World Cup 2015 chief executive Debbie Jevans and chief sports writer for The Sunday Times David Walsh will lead discussions.
The conference will include more panel sessions including gaming for dummies where panelists will talk about the development in the E-gaming industry, how eSports can change your life and how to get more kids involved in sports at a young age.
There will also be round table discussions about delivering more fan engagement and how to attract and keep a loyal fan base. A discussion will follow about the relationship between the media and sports organizations and how to strike a balance between cooperation and control of sporting events.
The SportAccord Convention will come to a close the day after the plenary conference.
